History

Burapa English-Programme School of Thailand (BEST) was started on 1 February 1997 by Mrs. Wattana Nuttasophon. The School celebrates 1 February each academic year as Founding Day with an academic exposition held to showcase projects by students from all levels. The School provides high standards in both Thai and English tuition from kindergarten through to upper secondary level. The secondary six class in the upper secondary was opened in May 2012 with students upon completion receiving a secondary school leaving certificate.

In June 2015, the School officially established an International Secondary Programme, Key Stages 3-4 or Years 7 to 11. In Years 10 and 11 all students are expected to have passes in five IGCSE examination subjects. In May 2017 the School officially started the A-Level programme with students expected to have three passes first in their AS Level examinations and then three passes in their A-Level examinations. In the 2o18-2019 academic year, the School formally separated into two distinct divisions: an English-Programme (BEST) with kindergarten 1-3, primary 1-6 and secondary 1-6 and Burapa Pattanasart International School (BPIS) with Key Stages 3-4 or Years 7 to11 and A-Level or Years 12-13.
